Illustration Friday - Theme: 80's

A pencil sketch of an old woman --nobody I know.
Olivia has named her "Happy Face".

Ironically, as I was drawing this old woman,
the following song by Fernando Ortega
began to play on my iPod…

All flesh is like the grass
The grass withers and fades away
All flesh is like the grass
The grass withers and fades away
The glory of man like a flower
That shrivels in the sun and falls
The glory of man like a flower
That shrivels in the sun and falls

But the Word of the Lord endures forever
The Word of the Lord endures forever

All flesh is like the grass
The grass withers and fades away
All flesh is like the grass
The grass withers and fades away
The glory of man like a flower
That shrivels in the sun and falls
The glory of man like a flower
That shrivels in the sun and falls

But the Word of the Lord endures forever
The Word of the Lord endures forever

I Peter 1:24-25

I like this Illustration Friday picture much more then last Friday's! Last Fridays was very talented, but this one is easier to love! :)

She looks like a nice old lady :) I love Fernando Ortega, too, btw! I have that song :)

AH! That's a nice chunky pencil line you've got. I like the assertiveness of it. Nothing tentative there. And it looks like you're on decent paper with a real bite.

And you beat me to the punch! I wondered if anyone else would do an eighty-year old woman. And of course, we're all simultaneously original. Hehehehe.

Here's my attempt: Old lady.

Blue skies
