Somebody stop me!

If I eat one more honey wheat pretzel from the huge barrel of them which we purchased yesterday at Aldi's....I'm going to turn into an even bigger version of the blimp which I'm becoming!

I'm eating because I'm either bored or depressed or both.

Bored because I'm taking some time away from work...depressed because I got my hair cut and it's probably the worst haircut I've ever had in my life.

Yesterday, when arriving home from the StuffMart hair-cutting place (going there was my FIRST mistake), Brillo Man said, "uh...your hair looks nice."
"Seriously, you like it?"
"Yeah. It looks nice."
"...okay..." (but I was NOT convinced!)

Today...after showering and washing the pound of goo and gunk that the stylist had glopped into my hair and then attempting to style it in some kind of decent looking style...I said, "This haircut is pitiful. Probably the worst one I've ever had."
"I don't think it looks bad...it looks better than it did yesterday."

???!?!?!?!?!?! what?

Anyway...it's not a good cut. I hate it.
And no, I'm not posting a photo so you may be the judge.

But picture this...at one point the stylist said to me, "I just made this cut up. It has no name. I was looking at my daughter's fairy book and saw a photo of a fairy and just starting clipping and this is what I came up with."

So, I look like a fairy. Not.

Now I know how Bentley feels:

Before:

After:

He was matted.
He won't stay out of the pond muck.
It's better this way. Trust me.
But he's just not as cute.
We told the groomer --"Shave him - we need to start all over again!"

I look at him and tell myself that his hair will grow again....
....just like mine will! ugh.
Tomorrow, I go hat shopping!
(This is my "before" photo. You don't get to see the "after"!)
(Pat, this one's for you!)

Your head crowns you like Mount Carmel.
Your hair is like royal tapestry;
the king is held captive by its tresses.
-Song of Solomon 7:5

Now you've gone and scared the beegeebers out of be, I have a hair appointment tomorrow and I'm thinking of going way short. You have nice hair, mine is pitiful, so I'd really be in trouble with a bad hair cut.
Who ever heard of "just making up" a haircut as you go along? Olivia could have done that for you!
I love the mouse ears...very fancy with sparkly things..that's my kind of mouse ears!
Should I tell you what every one else will?
It looks fine, and it will grow out!

Deb, you look great. I've known you for more than 30 years. I'm serious - you look wonderful. You have been through thick and thin over the years with health and events. You are wearing it well, my friend. Our God reigns.

Oh no! I still remember the worst hair cut of my life and it was probably 20 years ago! John Bell's on Ecorse Road, evermore afterword called John Stinking Freaking Bell's. I wanted shorter hair, kind of tousled. I got a military cut. Seriously, couldn't find a curling iron small enough. After the unveiling I said that this was so NOT what I had asked for and I even had a picture! And the stylist did not claim to have made it up, she said..."You don't have to be such a B-. I just screwed up." Can you believe it!

Deb I just LOVE you! I foresee a new nickname for you, fairy something or other. At least your Hub acknowledged your haircut. My Hub adheres to the old, "if you can't say something nice don't say anything at all" motto!

Are you sure that's Bentley?

Pat...I USED to have nice hair....

Char...thanks so much for your kind words...but you haven't seen my hair cut!!...

Sara...I have been telling everyone to stay away from ****, the stylist at StuffMart. Oliva has dubbed her "Miss OoglieMooglie"

Connie...it's not Bentley...it's his evil twin! He has been into EVERYTHING since his haircut. I think it's his way of rebelling!

Oh, the days of bad hair cuts. I have cried several times over the years. The last time I was scalped, I cut my own hair for over a year!!!
Being a semi-retired hairdresser, I can't imagine just making up a hair cut as I go...on a client that I've never serviced before!!! A fairy!??? Deb, when she made that comment. What on earth did you think? My Tomer's remark to me was "I see she scalped you, it makes your head look too small for your body." Honest...he had the nerve!
As for Bentley...he's sooo cute. I love Schnauzers!!!
